In answer to the first question - probably, if anything too much, but as I go along I am sure there are things that I will feel I need but don't have. On top of that I am also sure I have things I won't need. Do I really need to take my ipod dock? It's not that big, and doesn't add much to the overall weight, but if I don't use it it's pointless to take, right?! But then there is bound to be a rest day where I just want to listen to music.. and listening to headphones is just not the same. So yes, I should take the dock. Shouldn't I?!
What have I forgotten? Hmmmm.. tough one this. Maybe nothing. Maybe lots. I won't know until there is a moment where I think I need something that I should have brought with me. But then that doesn't mean I forgot it, it just means I didn't know I should have it with me in the first place.
How difficult is it going to be? Well, it will be tough, but I don't think it will be difficult as such. It's all about pacing yourself. Anyone can sit down and move their legs constantly. It's pretty easy to do. Just got to be careful not to overdo it early on and hit the wall because of over exersion. 5 weeks is a long time to do this, in fact when I mentioned it to a guy a bike shop in Vancovuer he said "how long have you given yourself to do it? 3 weeks?" So clearly the cycling fraternity think it is an easy trip in the scheme of things! I shouldn't worry. Take every day as it comes and go from there.
Will it rain in the morning? As we all know the weather forecast changes on a daily basis. Two days ago it said rain all day. Today google says:
Fri
11°C | 6°C
.....so completely inconclusive. Providing it is not raiining when I set off I think it will all be ok. If it is pouring then maybe a couple of hours delay will benefit things in the long run. We'll play that one by ear. Departure time is 8 am friday morning, so keep your fingers crossed for me and let's hope it's a bright sunny morning full of the joys of autumn.
Fully laiden and ready to rock and roll, I think!?!
